Designer and visual artist born in 1985, Maud Vantours lives and works in Paris.

After studying textile design and material research at ESAA Duperré, Maud went on to establish her own creative studio.

Colour, graphic language and materiality play a central role in her work. She likes to start with a pattern or a pared-back form, which she deconstructs and develops into volume in order to reveal all its facets. A sense of poetry emerges from her sculptures and original creations, unfolding like dreamlike landscapes, both multicoloured and monochromatic.

Paper lies at the heart of much of her work. It is folded, cut, accumulated and layered, one sheet upon another, to create inspired three-dimensional forms and environments. Sculpted by hand, the material is transformed into a precious object. Plexiglas, metal, wood and other new materials allow her to explore new fields of expression and experiment with her techniques and craftsmanship, across scales ranging from the smallest object to large-scale installations and scenographies.

Her work, showcased by some of the world’s leading brands, has also been exhibited in France and internationally, both in galleries and at major international professional fairs.
